4:00 PM - 5:30 PM    Home Alone Safety Workshop - Home Alone Safety
Children learn telephone- and door-answering techniques, internet safety, accident and fire protection and first aid techniques. We also talk about how children should manage their time when home alone for short periods of time. The class includes a variety of teaching methods and includes a video and role playing.
 
6:00 PM - 8:30 PM    ASHI First Aid and CPR/AED for Teens and Adults - Session 1 ASHI First Aid and CPR/AED
With focus on children, this course will cover: CPR, AED, first Aid, including medical/Injury emergencies, allergies, epipens, and asthma. Upon successful completion, participants will receive 2 year certification from ASHI in Pediatric First Aid and in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED. This class is ideal for coaches, Scout leaders, teachers, child care providers, parents, and grandparents.

4:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Your Voice: Public Speaking for Kids - Your Voice
Let Your Voice be Heard!Public speaking can be one of life’s scariest tasks, but it doesn’t have to be! In this fun and engaging class, you will play improvisation games, serve as an anchor in a classroom newscast, take the pro- or con- side in a debate on whether teachers should assign homework and practice making eye contact in a staring contest. Pretty soon you will be acquiring public speaking and presentation skills while having a blast. Our Right Brain Curriculum instructors will coach you in using a loud voice, scanning your audience, making eye contact, speaking from notes, and making persuasive arguments – all while you gain your confidence as a speaker. Let's make public speaking fun!
