6:00 PM - 9:00 PM    Pet First Aid & CPR - Pet First Aid and CPR
Our pets are more than just animals living in our homes, they are family members that provide us with unconditional love, laughter, and tremendous comfort. We do the best we can for them yet so many people are unaware of what to do in the event of a sudden illness or accident involving our four footed friend. Four footed Family’s Pet Emergency Care Education classes provide pet families and pet professionals with the tools they need to be the first responders for an animal in need before professional care can be reached. This two day class takes place on Day 1 over zoom from 6:00-9:00pm. Day 2 is a 3 hour in person hands on workshop at the Hopkinton Parks & Recreation Office from 6:00-9:00pm.  About Four Footed Family: My name is Laura McCallion, I am the Lead Instructor and Founder of Four Footed Family. For 20 years I have been teaching people how to help one another in the event of illness or an accident through traditional First Aid & CPR training. After the very sudden and unexpected death of one of my very beloved dogs, Chance, I began questioning whether I had missed a sign or didn't see something that could have helped save Chance's life. I went in search of knowledge and what I found was a new path for my life. I thought, having owned pets forever that I knew a lot about proper care and emergencies that could happen with them, however, through my training to become a Pet Emergency Care Instructor, I discovered that there are so many things I didn't know. Our pets can't tell us when something hurts and often they mask it when they are in pain so becoming very familiar with what your pet's "normal" is can go a long way to knowing quickly when something is wrong. I have made it my mission to share what I have learned, and so much more with pet families and professionals so that just as I have helped people be prepared for the worst day of someone else's life, I could help pet parents, families, and pet professionals be prepared to do whatever they can to help in the event of the worst day in an animal's life.I hope you will join one of our classes and realize that you have so much to give an injured or ill animal and your help could save a life.

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Babe Ruth Baseball - Spring - Babe Ruth Spring Season
Hopkinton Babe Ruth's goal is to provide teenagers, of all ability levels, the opportunity to play organized baseball after they have aged out of Hopkinton Little League. Everyone is welcome to play in a fun, competitive, and developmental environment. Hopkinton Babe Ruth Spring LeagueThe goal of the Spring Season is to give baseball-age 13 and 14 year-olds and those in grades 6-8 the opportunity to play games in a developmental league. It is an ideal opportunity for thirteen year olds who aged out of Little League and have never played on the "big diamond" before. We offer instruction from our coaches to introduce young players to the new rules and skills that are required on the bigger field. The key areas of instruction include: leading and base running as well as pitching and picking off runners. The emphasis of the spring league is player development. Players are encouraged to learn the skills for every position. The overall atmosphere is fun and competitive where coaches and players alike "get the rust out". Players of all ability levels are welcome to join. There are no tryouts. The Spring Season runs for 6 weeks April-June. Teams play three games per week, Tuesdays & Fridays 5:30-7:30pm, Sundays 3:00-5:00pmHopkinton teams play in the TriValley Babe Ruth League (TVBR). The spring season consists of a 12-game regular season followed by a playoff ending in early June. All home games are played at the HHS fields. Six games will be played at home and six games are away in towns that can include Holliston, Medway, Millis, Ashland, Medfield, Franklin, or Hopedale. There are three games per week on Sunday, Tuesday, & Friday. Specific team schedules will be announced in April. For more detailed information and FAQs, visit Facebook/HopkintonBabeRuth,or email us at hopkintonbaberuth@gmail.comHopkinton Babe Ruth does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities or operations.  We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all players, coaches, families, and sponsors.
