Babe Ruth Baseball - Summer - Babe Ruth Minors Summer Season, 13-14 years old Hopkinton Babe Ruth's goal is to provide teenagers, of all ability levels, the opportunity to play organized baseball after they have aged out of Hopkinton Little League. Everyone is welcome to play in a fun, competitive, and developmental environment.Hopkinton Babe Ruth Summer LeagueHopkinton Babe Ruth participates in the Tri-Valley Babe Ruth Summer League Tournament. The summer tournament is more competitive than the spring and fall seasons, yet the league is for players of all ability levels and there are no tryouts. Attendance is flexible with 50% regular season attendance required for player playoff eligibility. Rosters are made intentionally large to give families flexibility around conflicts. All Hopkinton players are welcome even if they did not play in the HBR spring season.The summer season consists of a 12-game regular season. Six games are played at home on HHS fields and six games are away in towns that include Holliston, Medway, Millis, Ashland, Medfield, Franklin, or Hopedale. There are three games per week. Summer Softball Women's League - Women's Softball Ready for some summer fun? Join us for a slow-pitch, semi-competitive softball league! Whether you're in it for the friendly competition or just want to enjoy some sunshine and good times, this league is perfect for players of all skill levels. Games are played one or two days per week on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday with make ups on Thursday. Games on Tuesdays and Thursdays will begin at 6:00pm. Wednesday & Monday games will be played under the lights and will start at 7:00pm. In August most games will begin at 6:30pm. This may be adjusted based on the number of teams that sign up.Registration Procedures If you know which team you would like to play on, please register directly with that team. You will be asked upon check out which team you want to be on. If you are new to the league and do not have a preferred team, please choose the free agent team option. Once registration closes, you will be placed on a team. The captain of that team will reach out to you. If you would like to form a new team, please contact parks and rec and we will add the team.New this year! We are adding a 7th team to our league to maximize playing time. Teams will be capped at 16 players, with no waitlist option. If a team is full, please register as a Free Agent. ShirtsAll new players are required to have a t-shirt. Returning players can use a t-shirt from previous years. If you need a t-shirt, please indicate t-shirt size when signing up. T-shirts will be cotton unisex crew necks. Only players registered prior to June 2nd are guaranteed a shirt.Player InfoGames will follow ASA rules of play with bat restrictions. Umpires will inspect all bats before each game. Pitcher and catcher masks will be required. Please bring your own softball glove and bat. Balls, score books, masks and catchers equipment will be provided. Cleats with metal spikes are NOT ALLOWED on the turf field.
