Use your imagination and get your hands dirty with clay! Early release programs encourage creative expression. Create a one-of-a-kind wreath to celebrate a fall or winter holiday. Everyone will leave with a personalized piece of art to display at home or give to a loved one. All materials will be provided. Choose from a plethora of materials, all inorganic, which will make your wreath last the entire season and beyond! Tuition includes all material, but please beverages and nut-free snacks to enjoy throughout the 3 hour workshop.
 
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM    Watercolor Portrait Painting from Photographs - Watercolor Portrait Painting from Photographs Workshop
Join this small group full-day workshop and learn techniques for creating watercolor portraits. All levels are welcome, though basic drawing skills are required. We’ll begin with guided drawing suggestions to help outline your portrait on watercolor paper. Techniques such as grid drawing and tracing will be introduced. Please bring a photo of a loved one or use a teacher-supplied reference.Tuition includes all painting materials. Please bring your own beverages and food, or enjoy takeout from a nearby Hopkinton restaurant.Paper Recommendations-if you prefer to use your own:• Best: Arches Cold Press 140 lb. Pastels offer a versatile medium for vibrant images. This class helps both beginners and advanced artists to enhance their skills through demonstrations and critiques tailored to participants' needs. We will explore pastels in landscapes, portraits, and still life with provided photos and setups or your own personal photo references. Beginners will learn the basics, while repeat students can follow along, improve skills or work on individual projects. Experimentation and mutual learning are encouraged.Materials: Thanks to a generous donation of pastels, all materials are included in the tuition, including sanded pastel paper. You are welcome to bring your own supplies too!

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a beginner, this workshop is perfect for all skill levels! By the end, you’ll have your own delightful evergreen gnome to brighten up your garden or front steps all winter long. What’s Included: Hands-on instruction to create your own holiday gnome using fresh balsam tips and decorative materials All supplies provided for crafting your personalized gnome A fun, social atmosphere perfect for the holiday season For ages 14+ (must be able to work independently)This is a great family activity! If joining as a group creating a single Gnome, only one person needs to register. If you want to create more than one Gnome please create additional registrations - we need to ensure we have enough materials for all!
