The Parks and Recreation in-town basketball program is designed to provide a positive environment for youngsters to learn and play basketball with and against their classmates. Registration opens September 17th at 10:00am. Parent and high school volunteers serve as coaches for the teams and clinics. To register to be eligible to coach please scroll down to the bottom of this page.Schedule information for the leagues is below. Note that all schedules are subject to change based on gym availability, the number of players and coaches that sign up, and other factors. You will be notified of the practice schedule by your coach after the coaches meeting in November. Join us Monday evenings for informal, recreational-style pickup volleyball open to both men and women. Each night, teams will be formed on-site, offering a fun and flexible way to play. Important Information: Check-In Required: All participants must check in each night. Unregistered drop-ins will not be permitted. Schedule Changes: Pickup Volleyball will not be held on days when school is not in session or if the gym is needed for school-related activities. Please refer to the schedule below for current dates. Join us Monday evenings for informal, recreational-style pickup volleyball open to both men and women. Each night, teams will be formed on-site, offering a fun and flexible way to play. Schedule Changes: Pickup Volleyball will not be held on days when school is not in session or if the gym is needed for school-related activities. Please refer to the schedule below for current dates. Weekly practices for the grades 3-8 leagues will begin the week of December 3rd.GRADE 3-8 LEAGUES  REGISTRATION DEADLINE NOVEMBER 5TH.Players will be divided into teams at a preseason coaches meeting. You will be notified about team placement in approximately 2 weeks prior to the first practice. This is contingent on parents registering by the deadline of November 5th. Weekly practices will start the week of December 3rd. Games start on Saturday, December 6th and end with playoffs the week leading into February vacation. Each team will have a minimum of eight games scheduled, although if games are canceled due to weather or other factors beyond our control we might not be able to make up all of them.Price $120Practice days:Wednesday evening: All girls teamsThursday evening: Boys, grades 5-8Friday evening: Boys, grades 3-4All games will be played on Saturdays.We cannot take special requests for team placements or practice times. Reversible mesh tanks are mandatory for games. If your tank still fits or you are using a siblings from a previous year, you do not need to order a new one.Orders need to placed by October 27th to ensure delivery for the first game of the season.
