This new program is designed to join student-athletes with and without intellectual and/or physical disabilities through the sport of tennis. This program is designed to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where children can learn, grow, develop new friendships and have fun on the tennis court. Through tennis, we aim to enhance motor skills, social skills, and the overall well-being of all student athletes. The Unified Tennis program is open to student-athletes with intellectual disabilities in grades 2-5 and student-athletes without disabilities in grades 6-12 who want to be a tennis partner.A Unified Athlete is a student-athlete with intellectual and/or physical disabilities who typically receives Special Education services. Whether your child is a beginner or has prior tennis experience, our goal is to accommodate your child’s abilities and needs, promote skill development, and foster a sense of accomplishment and community.
