Chess Wizards teaches children many important life concepts, such as learning the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship.Join Chess Wizards this year for challenging chess lessons, exciting tournaments, fun, team activities, and more! If you’re brand-new to chess, we’ll teach you the basics and get you playing right away. If you’re a seasoned checkmate artist, we’ll show you new ways to let your creativity show on the chess board.Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student would have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.All experience levels welcome!Our GoalsMake Chess Popular & FunBreak the stereotype that “chess is not for everyone.”Through chess, students learn:Ability to concentrate Apply constant effort to solve challengesPromote intellectual growthDisciplineLogical ThinkingSportsmanshipIt has been proven that chess programs improve scores on standardized tests!Chess Wizards has been teaching the game of chess since 2002.

9:00 AM - 3:30 PM	Snapology: Robotics Sports Challenge & Amusement Park Adventures - Robotics Sports Challenge + Amusement Park Adventures In Robotics Sports Challenge children will build and program robots to compete in sports-themed challenges! Your child will expand their engineering skills by designing and experimenting with robotic attachments and refine their programming abilities by creating code that makes their bots run races, play hockey, and so much more. Students will work in groups and use the LEGO® SPIKE Prime technology to complete these exciting challenges. By giving our students challenges through games and friendly competition, they don't realize how quickly they are learning core programming skills. The robotics activity will be paired with the fun and creative Amusement Park Adventures program.  Children love going to amusement parks to experience the variety of fast, dropping, and spinning rides, but have they ever thought about the science and design of these rides? Students will become engineers of their own amusement park rides utlizing LEGO's and driven by a power pack. After building the base ride there will be a lot of time to expand and creatively build upon the concept to create a unique amusement park ride.
