SmartPro kids is offering a 12 week Lego Ev3 Robotics program. The main objective of this course is to induce Robotics interest in the minds of young learners. LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 gives you the power to create and command your own robotic LEGO creatures, vehicles, machines and inventions! By combining LEGO elements with a programmable brick, motors and sensors, you can make your creations walk, talk, grab, think, shoot and do almost anything you can imagine!

There are many ways to bring your LEGO MINDSTORMS creations to life which you will enjoy learning in our program! You will build and program different robot models.

Ports

EV3 Lego Mindstorm kits will be provided by Smart Pro Kids, LLC. Please contact Smart Pro Kids to provide a deposit of $250. Deposit will be refunded upon receiving the EV3 Mindstrom Kit back. Pick up of the kit will be arranged with Smart Pro Kids.

If you do not have a robot at home, you must register for the for the PLUS Robot session.

This is an online Webex class. A Webex meeting link will be sent to all registered students. You should have a Windows laptop.

Session 1: Thursdays, May 21 - August 6 Time: 6:00-7:00pm
Session 2: Tuesdays, July 14 - September 29 Time: 5:00-6:00pm
Session 3: Thursdays, September 10 - December 3 Time: 5:00-6:00pm; no class November 26
Session 4: Saturdays, October 24 - January 30 Time: 10:30-11:30am, no class November 28, December 26, January 2
Cost: $295 if you have a robot at home already; $345 if robot rental is needed

Refund Policy
If you withdraw from a program at anytime prior to two weeks before the program start date, you will receive an account credit good towards other Parks and Recreation programs. Account credits do not expire. Account credit will not be issued if the cancellation takes places within two weeks of the program start date. Cancellations due to a medical emergency will have the option to receive an account credit or a refund at anytime with proper medical documentation. If a program is cancelled by Parks and Recreation, you will have the option to receive an account credit or a refund for that program. The processing fee associated with all credit card transactions will not be refunded.
