Flag Football is back!

Flag Football is open to girls and boys in grades 4-8. This is a non-contact league. There will be blocking above the waist and occasional incidental contact but there will be no tackling of any kind. Mouth guards are required. Cleats are good, sneakers are fine.

All practices and games will take place on Sundays from 4:00-6:15pm on the Fruit Street fields. Information about team placement will be sent prior to the start of the program. We cannot take requests for team placement.

After feedback from the Spring Flag Season, we have broken the grades out into two groups. This will ensure a positive and safe experience for all!

Due to the growing popularity of flag football, Parks and Rec has teamed up with Skyhawks Sports in order to provide a positive experience for all participants.
Skyhawks Flag Football Fueled by USA Football is an exciting introduction to America’s favorite game! Using skills and drills from the Football Development Model, developed by the experts at the sport’s national governing body – USA Football – players will gain confidence and prepare for league play. Coaches will teach the key concepts of passing, receiving, running, kicking, punting, and flag pulling, all presented in a positive environment. Athletes will learn developmentally appropriate fundamentals and critical life lessons.
