2025 Boston Marathon Information

Celebrate at the Start Line!

Hopkinton has been the start of the Boston Marathon since 1924, when the starting point of the race was moved from Ashland. Every year our town looks forward to welcoming thousands of runners and spectators as they take part in this historic race.The festive celebration will include music, activities, crafts, and food & other vendors on the Town Common on April 19th.

Food vendors and other merchants will be at the Town Common on Saturday April 19th starting at 11:00am to see what we have to offer while you check out the HCA Winged Foot Exhibit! Over forty custom-designed winged feet symbolizing the true spirit of sportsmanship and athletics will be on display on the Town Common starting April 5th.

On Saturday April 19th, join us from 11:00am-3:00pm for food, crafts & games! There will be face painters, henna tattoo artists, and a marathon themed photo booth along with the opportunity to make a poster to cheer on the Marathon runners. Then spend time with family and friends playing ladder ball or try your hand at giant Jenga. You can also learn more about what Parks and Rec has to offer.
