4:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Your Voice: Public Speaking, Presenting and Newscasting - Your Voice Session 2
In the modern workplace, public speaking and presentation skills are critical! We say it is never to early to start learning these talents! Elementary students who learn skills like making eye contact, using a loud voice, scanning their audience, speaking from notes and making persuasive arguments will be confident and powerful speakers. Using fun and engaging activities to teach public speaking and presentation can help make a sometimes scary task much less daunting. Students write and deliver informative and persuasive speeches on fun topics of their own choosing, learning how to organize what they want to say and deliver it in a powerful and persuasive manner. Students also play fun public speaking games, engage in mini-debates on kid-friendly topics and create a classroom newscast featuring news anchors, weather reports, sports updates and movie reviews! Let's make public speaking fun!Presented by Right Brain Curriculum. A Boston-based education company offering engaging, project-based grade 2-8 learning programs throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Our mission is to create outstanding, student-centered enrichment programs that allow children to experience real life in a fun, engaging learning atmosphere.
