Junior Hillers
Join us for Junior Hillers Playground Group 2024
A Hopkinton tradition for over 30 years!

Our mission this summer remains the same as always: to provide a safe place for kids to get outside and be active, to make some new friends and reconnect with old ones, and most importantly, have fun. The majority of our enthusiastic and engaging staff attended Playground Group themselves and are eager to pass on the fun memories they have of their time at Playground Group.

Junior Hillers meet at Elmwood School for a week full of sports, Olympic events, and games like the always popular Pillow Polo! There will be one weekly trip to Sandy Beach and Water Wizz, one weekly entertainer, tie-dye, arts and crafts, water balloons and more. The week ends with an Olympic Ceremony, prizes, and popsicles. Every Junior Hiller receives a t-shirt and water bottle!

Field Trips to Sandy Beach & Water Wizz
Weekly entertainer - New this year!
Playground time
Music & movies when the weather is not ideal for outdoor activities

Check out our extended day option! You've spoken, we listened. Our extended day program runs until 5:30pm. New this year, to register for extended day, please choose the extended day add on during the check out process.

Extended Day: 8:30am-5:30pm; Cost: $335

NEW this year, the price of Water Wizz is included in the registration fee

Registration for each session will close on Thursday morning at 9:00am the week prior. An informational email will be sent out on the Thursday prior to each session. For session 2, registration will close on July 2nd at 9:0am

Registration for Extended Day
Extended Day is an additional cost of $50. Payment for this is collected when you register. Please click "add to cart" in the Suggested Add-On Products window while you are checking out. You must choose the Add-On for each of the extended day sessions the participant is registering for. If you wish to add extended day to an existing registration, please call the office during regular business hours, 508-497-9750

June 27th: EcoTarium Rocket Launch - Design and test your own model spacecraft, then launch it!
July 11th: Mannie Nogueira BMX Bike Show - Amazing BMX tricks performed by a professional bike rider ranked in the top 10 in America!
July 18th: Animal Adventures - Learn about exotic animals such as a kinkajou & a screaming hairy
armadillo!
July 25th: Flying Frisbee Dogs - World record holders & multiple time world finalist in K9 frisbee!
August 1st: On the Mark Archery - Learn the Olympic sport of archery!
August 8th: Mini Carnival - ready, aim - dunk tank!

Meet our Playground Group Director, Julia Thissell!
My favorite part about being the Playground Group director is the relationships and connections I am able to make with the kids and families of Hopkinton! I grew up in Hopkinton and I am a current 3rd grade teacher in Bedford, NH. I graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2020 where I was also a captain of the women's basketball team. I went to Playgroup Group for many years when I was a child, and I have so many amazing memories from my times playing timeless camp games such as tennis racket baseball, dodgeball, and fishy-fishy cross my ocean. I also loved the field trips to Sandy Beach and the Olympic Ceremony on Friday afternoons! I love being with kids and can't wait for another terrific summer! Hope to see you there!
