The Parks and Recreation Department is happy to offer ski club to Hopkins School students. The program is for Hopkinton residents in grades 4th and 5th. Students ski at Nashoba Valley Ski Area after school on Thursdays, January 8 to February 5, 2026.
Ski club is a life experience with a little skiing. For many participants, ski club is a child's first time participating in an activity without their parents. With minimal assistance, participants learn how to navigate independently, find their equipment, show up on time for a lesson, follow directions, make new friendships, and especially to advocate for themselves and others.
Please purchase either a bus pass and lift ticket or a bus pass, lift ticket and ski lesson.
Please note that snowboard lessons will only be available for purchase through Nashoba Valley Ski Area.
The last day to purchase a lift and bus ticket is December 12th.
Bus Policy
For the safety of all registrants in the ski club, participants who have purchased a bus pass are required to ride the bus to and from the mountain. Guardians are not allowed to drop off or pick up participants at any time during the program - no exceptions will be made.
Detailed program instructions regarding when and where to drop off equipment, dismissal instructions, departing and returning policies at Hopkins will be sent by December 19th.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
This program runs only with the help of adult volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please submit your contact information when you register and we will get in touch with you. Or email the Hopkins Ski Coordinator Julie Leyshon
Chaperones: Knowledge of skiing is not required, however it is useful. Please consider helping for one or multiple trips.
Equipment drop off volunteers: Thursday mornings to help move boot bags into the cafeteria.
Registration start date for Ski Club will be announced soon. Please stay tuned for updates.
