Babe Ruth Baseball - Spring - Babe Ruth Spring Season Hopkinton Babe Ruth's goal is to provide teenagers, of all ability levels, the opportunity to play organized baseball after they have aged out of Hopkinton Little League. Everyone is welcome to play in a fun, competitive, and developmental environment. Hopkinton Babe Ruth Spring LeagueThe goal of the Spring Season is to give baseball-age 13 and 14 year-olds and those in grades 6-8 the opportunity to play games in a developmental league. It is an ideal opportunity for thirteen year olds who aged out of Little League and have never played on the "big diamond" before. We offer instruction from our coaches to introduce young players to the new rules and skills that are required on the bigger field. The key areas of instruction include: leading and base running as well as pitching and picking off runners. The emphasis of the spring league is player development. Players are encouraged to learn the skills for every position. The overall atmosphere is fun and competitive where coaches and players alike "get the rust out". Players of all ability levels are welcome to join. There are no tryouts. The Spring Season runs for 6 weeks April-June. Teams play three games per week, Tuesdays & Fridays 5:30-7:30pm, Sundays 3:00-5:00pmHopkinton teams play in the TriValley Babe Ruth League (TVBR).
